Armenian Roman Amoyan – Champion of Europe
Armenian Roman Amoyan (55kg) has been granted the title of champion in the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship in Dortmund, Germany.
Armenian champion beat in the 1/6 final Ramanus Dagis (Lithuania), in 1/8 - Lasha Gogitadze (Georgia), in ¼ - Russia’s Valery Borgoyakov. In the semifinal Amoyan defeated Azerbaijan’s Edanis Azizli (7:0, 6:0) and finally he defeated Azerbaijani wrestler, Vugar Rahimov (1:0, 4:0) who represented the Ukraine.
Roman Amoyan has won the European Champion’s title twice.
