Azerbaijan: Hajiev’s arrest was a political order
The first trial of Azerbaijani MP candidate Bakhtiyar Hajiev took place yesterday, “Turan” agency reports.
According to the source, Hajiev approved that he has been brutally beaten in Naziman’s police region while being detained; he was also kept in isolator.
Hajiev was beaten for his demand to call a lawyer and a doctor. The Prosecutor’s office and the experts have proven the availabilities of the injuries.
“I wasn’t surprised: the political order suggests such decisions,” Hajiev said adding that his arrest was a political order.
