‘Big Day’ – Artsakh war movie granted international prizes
Film maker Vahe Grigoryan produced a film in 2010 titled “Big Day”, which describes the war of Artsakh in 1992 through children’s eyes. The author of the film told Panorama.am that the film isn’t a documentary, though the heroes of it are Armenian and Azerbaijani children and Artsakh war is being described, it’s done through the eyes of the chidren.
“It would be wrong to say that the film is about the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. It is about the children who appeared in an abandoned village. First they argue, but then they become closer and find food together,” he said.
The film is produced by Armenian National Cinema Center; Armen Amiryan has also supported the film production.
The film has been presented in several international festivals and managed to be granted four prizes.
