The HuffingtonPost. Emmy’s Boom Boom is classic Eurovision
“The Huffington Post” has published a comprehensive story on Eurovision 2011 international song contest and singer Emmy who will represent Armenia in the contest. Paper writes that Emmy has solid vocals, skimpy clothes and well-choreographed dance. “Emmy has a clear message for the 42 other contestants competing at Eurovision 2011: she's ready for a fight,” The Huffington Post writes.
According to the newspaper, "Boom Boom" is classic Eurovision: frothy, energetic. No one can deny that Emmy has a voice. Though the paper notices that the chorus is nonsensical.
Paper refers to Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and writes that the historic conflict between Armenia and its neighbor Azerbaijan frequently rears its ugly head at Eurovision. Last November, when it became clear Armenia's Vladimir Arzumanyan had won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the Azeri state broadcaster cut off transmission of the program in Baku. In 2009 Azeri police questioned citizens who voted for the Armenian act, and suggested they were unpatriotic.
