Since 2009 YSU Centre for European Studies with the support of the European Commission has been providing MA programme in European Studies. In 2010 the Centre developed and submitted a proposal for establishing a new qualification of “Master of European Studies”. Hence, for the first time in Armenia the Centre opens the call for applications in the study programme providing the degree of the Master of European Studies.

The processes of European integration and EU enlargement have essentially increased the importance of European Studies. This is determined by the underlying idea of European integration that anticipates application of their value system, best practices and traditions for the enhancement of the global development. Considering the fact that European integration has been proclaimed as one of the main priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy and within its framework, various economic, social, political, and legal projects and reforms are being implemented, the labour market has already shaped the demand for skillful professionals of the field. Hence, besides comprehensive and quality education, students will also acquire profession that is rather timely and has considerable potential for career development.
