NKR parliamentary factions and groups released a statement
In Nagorno-Karabakh National Assembly plenary session of May 19 Vahram Atanesyan, the chairman of the standing committee on foreign affairs, on behalf of parliamentarian political forces appeared with a statement, NKR NA press service informs.
“The 17th jubilee of the ceasefire regime along the Karabakhi-Azerbaijani line of contact of has been marked. Regretfully, the Azerbaijani side attempted to fake the reality and suspect authenticity of the agreement. The attempt tensed the situation in the line of contact in the aftermath of which an NKR civilian has been killed by sniper shooting.
We regret that Azerbaijan’s incursions aren’t immediately reacted by the Minsk Group chairmanship, which is to mediate between the sides of the conflict to reach a final peace.
Every time it becomes more vivid that Azerbaijan’ government isn’t ready to resolve the disputing issues through peaceful negotiations, and puts efforts to make the situation even more tensed.
NKR National Assembly political forces support measures to counterattack the provocations of the rival.
We urge the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to exercise their mediating mandate in its full format to restrain Azerbaijan’s armed activities.
Otherwise the mediators will also be claimed to hold the responsibility for the tensed situation.”
The statement is signed by NKR NA “Hayrenik” (Fatherland), “Democracy”, “Dashnaktsutyun” factions and “Artsakhatun” parliamentary group.
