 On the occasion of Child Protection Day STAR has started the annual charity campaign “Lets help children, together”. In the frames of the program from 26th of May till June 1st STAR will donate every 20th dram from the sales of STAR private label and private production to the Armenian Charitable Foundation of Children sick with Leukemia.

“Understanding and appreciating the work carried out by the Foundation and importance of activites directed to children’s health protection, we believe it to be our duty to support the Foundation contributing to the efficiency of Leukemia treatment”,- said Vahan Kerobyan CEO of STAR trade chain.

“Our aim is to gain wide public attention and that’s why we organize a widescale information campaign. We hope, society will positively react to this initiative and will help us to direct more financial means to the Foundation”,- added Mariam Harutyunyan, Marketing director of STAR trade chain.

The annual charity campaign “Lets help children, together” was first launched in 2009. During recent years, in 2009 and 2010, financial means have been accumulated through direct fundraising – with placement of special boxes in the stores of STAR trade chain. Customers, partners, suppliers, staff of the Chain and STAR company itself participated in the fundraising. During these 2 years 7 107 000drams were donated to the Fund. Due to donation, in 2009, some construction and repairing was realized in Children department of Blood centre, professionals were invited from abroad. In 2010, hospital wards were furnished, 2 infusion pumps (for blood transfusion) and medicines were purchased.

We call on everyone to participate in the annual charity campaign “Lets help children, together”, from 26th of May till June 1st buying products from the assortment of STAR private label and production and donating every 20th dram to the Armenian Charitable Foundation of Children sick with Leukemia.
