Hrant Dink case: Court passes sentence on some of suspects
According to the Ermenihaber.am news website, the court passed sentence on eight suspects in Hrant Dink assassination case. Colonel Ali Öz, former Trabzon Provincial Gendarmerie Commander, and Captain Metin Yildiz, Head of Intelligence Department, were sentenced to six months in prison and another four officers to four months in prison. They were charged with negligence of official duties (Article 257, part 2 of the Criminal Code of Turkey). Two suspects, Lieutenant Colonel Gunay and Sergeant Araz, were released due to insufficient evidence.
