Amnesty: 376 convicts released as of June 2
376 convicts were released from the Ministry of Justice penitentiary institutions as of June 2, and punishment term of 5 convicts was reduced, the press office of the Armenian Ministry of Justice Penitentiary Department reported.
The source presents the number of released convicts according to penitentiary institutions:
Nubarashen – 33
Erebuni – 85
Vardashen – 30; 1 reduction
Convicts’ Hospital – 23, 1 reduction
Yerevan Kentron – 0 (no convicts subject to parole)
Artik – 42
Vanadzor – 14
Sevan – 48
Hrazdan – 19
Abovyan – 1; 3 reductions
Goris – 11
Kosh – 70
The process of releasing convicts by amnesty continues.
The press office of the Penitentiary Department will periodically provide information about the number of released convicts.
Note that the process of releasing convicts by amnesty granted on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia Independence started at the Penitentiary Service of the Armenian Ministry of Justice on May 27, 2011.
