Nikita Simonyan apologizes to Armenian football delegation
Vice President of Russian football union Nikita Simonyan told “Mayak” radio station the Union must apologize to Armenian team for failing to meet them in Saint Petersburg airport.
Armenian national football team arrived in St. Petersburg to hold a meeting with Russian team in the sidelines of Europe 2012 qualifying games.
Nikita Simonyan says the Union pushed the Armenian team to form a certain attitude towards them.
“It’s beyond the pale. Those, who are responsible for the reception, will be punished. It’s quite unpleasant for us,” Nikita Simonyan said: “As a first Vice President, I’d like to apologize.”
