Sabah. We didn’t know that was Armenian song
Armenian media outlets and social networks have been widely discussing “Youtube” post of Turkish “Fenerbahche” football club song the music of which is from an Armenian revolutionary song “Zartir lao” (Wake up boy)
A couple of days ago “Ermenihaber.am” news website has covered the event underlining that the music is Armenian and the lyrics were translated into Turkish.
Turkish media hurried to answer it. Turkish “Sabah” writes the author of the song Hakan Yavuz said they didn’t know the song was Armenian, if they knew they hadn’t sung it ever.
