Former Juventus manager Luciano Moggi has been banned for life
Former Juventus director manager Luciano Moggi has been banned for life, Italian football governing body said in a statement on Wednesday. Antonio Giraudo, former Juventus general manager, and Innocenzo Mazzini, former vice-president of Italian Footall Federation (FIGC), have also received lifetime bans.
Although the ruling on this scandal was back in 2006, the FIGC has only on Wednesday officially inflicted "a permanent ban from any position or category within the Federation."
"Moggi's ban is entirely in proportion with his behavior, taking into account their intrinsic seriousness and the abhorrent consequences," read the Disciplinary Commission's statement.
