AFC calls on bin Hammam to resign
A former top Asian Football Confederation official is calling on Mohamed bin Hammam to step down from the organization over vote-buying allegations, CBSnews informs.
Peter Velappan, the AFC's general secretary from 1978-2007, also said Tuesday that FIFA's entire executive committee to resign in the wake of former vice president Jack Warner's decision to quit.
He said AFC President Bin Hammam should resign from the AFC along with those on the executive committee as part of a cleanup of international soccer.
