In 10 years Shushi will become a museum under open air: 20 Italian sculptors travel to Artsakh
Nagorno-Karabakh hosts from July 15-29 first international sculptural symposium titled “Hakob Gyurjian”, which the organizers promise will become continuous. In these days Artsakh hosts dignitaries from the European culture family.
The symposium is aimed to contribute to the improvement of the international image of Artsakh through art, to serve as a platform of dialogue, cooperation for the sculptures.
20 renowned sculptures from Italy have arrived in Yerevan and will travel to Shushi to produce a documentary on the past and present days of Shushi.
“Shushi will be decorated by sculptures created by popular sculptors,” Vigen Avetis, author and president of the symposium said in a news conference today.
15 sculptures will be erected every year and after 10 years Shushi will be decorated by 150 sculptures making the city a real museum under the open air.
