Golden Apricot winners announced: Armenian directors awarded 3 prizes
“Latar” hotel complex hosted on Sunday the closing ceremony of the 8th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival, where jury announced the winners of the festival.
For the International Feature Film nomination “Golden Apricot” prize was bestowed upon “Nader and Semin, the Separation” by an Iranian director Asghar Farhadi. “Silver Apricot” was awarded to “The Journals of Musan” by Park Jungbum, the Special Jury Prize was given to “The Prize” by Paula Markovitch.
International Documentary Film Competition winners are Alexander Nanau, who was awarded Golden Apricot for “The World according to Ion B.”; Lynn True, Nelson Walker III, Tsering Perlo were awarded Silver Apricot for “Summer Pasture” and Special Mention for Magnificent Nothing by Ahmad Seyedkeshmiri.
Armenian Panorama Competition Program bestowed Golden Apricot upon “Loading My Life” by Haroutyun Shatyan, Silver Apricot: “The Spaceship” by Emil Mkrttchian; Special Mention: “The Last Hippie of the Pink City” by Anastasia Popova.
Golden Apricot Stone Competition for Short Films awarded Golden Apricot Piotr Subbotko for “Glasgow”, Special Mention: Bicycle by Serhat Karaaslan, FIPRESCI Jury Prize: “Mandoo” by Ebrahim Saeedi, Ecumenical Jury: “Europolis” by Cornel Gheorghita.
Hrant Matevosyan Prize went to Emil Mkrttchian for the film “The Spaceship”.
The Special Prize of the Armenian Film Academy “Unique Artistic View” went to “The Prize” by Paula Markovitch.
