Armenian culture and art manifested in Van
“We hurried to accept the invitation and to go there not as a guest but as a host to manifest our culture and national art,” Member of Parliament Aragats Akhoyan told reporters Wednesday referring to the cultural festival held in Van on July 21-23.
The festival was organized by the local authorities – mayor of Van Bekir Koya of Kurdish descent. “Akunq” ensemble from Armenia was invited to have participation in the festival.
MP said the Armenian ensemble wearing national clothes, accompanied by the sounds of Armenian national musical instruments and “Kochari” (Armenian national dance) were walking through the streets of Van.
