Defense Ministry: 2 have been detained in Aghasi Abrahamyan’s case
An officer and a soldier are detained for having connection with soldier Aghasi Abrahamyan’s death in “Eghnikner” military unit, Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Davit Karapetyan told Panorama.am.
“The group, who might have been connected in violence against the soldier, has been unveiled, and new arrests may occur in the future,” said the official.
D. Karapetyan said the names of the detained and the names of their families would not be released because of the privacy of the investigation.
Aghasi Abrahamyan, 1992, was taken to hospital on August 26, where he died an hour later.
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said in a news conference that the group of suspects has been unveiled and a criminal case is launched.
