Martiros Saryan house-museum in European Heritage Days
The house-museum of Martiros Saryan will attend on October 1-2 “European Heritage Days” event, a representative of the museum told Panorama.am.
Armenia will host on October 1-2 “European Heritage Days” holding the topic of “Written Heritage”. The selection of Written Heritage topic is to meet the forthcoming two major cultural events for Armenia – the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing and Yerevan – world book capital, defined by the UNESCO.
Supported by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, Armenia will highlight its thousand-year-old written speech going back to cuneiform and lapidary records, hand-written manuscripts and first Armenian printed book.
In the sidelines of the “European Heritage Days” the entrance to the museums will be free of charge.
