TESEV to publish report on problems of Turkish Armenians
Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) has released a report on problems of Turkish Armenians, “Ermenihaber.am” news site informs.
The report titled “Listen to Turkish Armenians – problems, demands, and solutions” refers to the issue of textbooks for the Armenian schools, the teachers’ salaries, chairs of Armenian language and literature in universities, found Armenian radio and theatres. The report also highlights need of equal rights for the ethnic groups by the constitution.
“Expressions and phrases of hostility and aggression against Armenians must be removed,” reads the report.
Referring to the Armenian-Turkish relations, the report says: “the ratification of Armenian-Turkish protocols and the opening of the border will contribute to the normalization of mutual relations. The strategy of zero problems with neighbors should be implemented irrespective of genocide and Karabakh issues.”
