Music from Brazil, Peru and Argentina for Armenian audience
The Embassy of Brazil in Yerevan has the pleasure to present a Latin American concert by Fabiano Borges, master of Brazilian 7 string guitar. The concert is to be held at the Hall of the Armenian Evangelical Centre (18 Baghramyan Ave., former US Embassy), on October 14, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.
The first part of the concert is dedicated to Argentinean and Peruvian music, such as Chacarera, Marinera, Passacalle, etc. And the second part – to Brazilian music, such as Choro, Samba, Bossa Nova, Baião etc. For the first time the Armenians will have a unique opportunity to get familiar with the works of the Armenian-Brazilian composer - maestro Ricardo Tacuchian.
Mr. Borges will also perform with SambaJan, a new music band that will be introduced to the Armenian audience within the framework of the concert. The Armenian and Brazilian musicians will recreate traditional Brazilian music, such as Samba and Roda de Choro, and will also present the synergy of Armenian and Brazilian music. The group consists of: Armen Aghadjanyan - piano, Floriano Regis -Brazilian percussion, Lusine Azaryan and Anoush Badalian – vocal. SambaJan invited Pablo do Cavaco, cavaquinho player and percussionist, as well as other Brazilian percussionists, who will help to make the event unforgettable.
