“Return to Book” second international book art festival opens today
“Return to Book” second international book art festival will open today at Yerevan’s Khnko Aper National Children's Library. The festival will last until October 25.
The festival is held ahead of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing, Khnko Aper Children’s Library deputy director, Madlen Hovsepyan told a Panorama.am reporter.
An exhibition titled “Modern Children's Book Illustration in Germany” will mark the opening of the book art festival. The official opening ceremony of the festival is scheduled for October 7.
The festival will include a variety of events and activities including fairy tale readings and theatrical performances.
The festival aims to develop children’s books, to increase interest in reading, and to improve printing quality.
