Ermenihaber.am: ‘I’m happy, I’m Turk’ poster removed from the wall of Armenian school
A couple of days ago “Ermenihaber.am” news site raised alarms that an Armenian catholic school in Istanbul holds a poster which says “I’m happy, I’m Turk”. The issue was really alarming because Turkish children don’t study in Armenian schools, or in schools of national minorities, moreover, the poster didn’t “decorate” the doors of all Turkish schools.
“Ermenihaber.am” has received today a letter from Turkish LAF (organizations which deals with the problems in Turkish colleges) which says that due to the efforts put forth by the organization, the poster has been changed. The new poster says “Happy is the person who says brotherhood among nations”.
The letter sent by the organization reads: “Turkey having killed 1,5 million Armenians in Genocide 1915, continues its assimilation of Kurds, Armenians and other peoples by its imposed education.”
