A soldier of the Azerbaijani army died. The incident occurred in a military unit of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, APA reported. Orkhan Samad Samadli “fell down while doing repair works in the military unit.” The soldier died in the hospital. The fact is being investigated.

APA reports that on the same day a soldier of the Azerbaijani army was wounded. The incident happened in Terter. Shukurlu Elnur Arif was slightly wounded in arm by Armenians. Shukurlu was drafted from Khazar district of Baku in 2011. Defense Ministry’s press service told APA that as a result of the fire opened by Armenians, the bullet thudded into the rock and then wounded Shukurlu in the arm.

An Azerbaijani military vehicle carrying soldiers turned over on Wednesday, leaving one dead and 9 injured. Azerbaijani army soldier Anar Rajabov died in a military hospital in Ganja the day before yesterday, and another soldier, Mahmud Mardaliyev, died in Aghdam region.

In 2011 the Azerbaijani public structures confirmed 75 deaths among servicemen of the Ministry of Defense, Border Service and Internal Troops of Azerbaijan. At least 18 of them were killed by their co-servicemen, 12 were killed in accidents, 12 committed suicide, 10 died of diseases, 2 died of carbon monoxide poisoning, etc.

Experts say that real losses in the Azerbaijani army are much higher than confirmed by Azerbaijan officially.
