Azerbaijani Army soldier killed in car accident
A soldier of the Azerbaijani Army was killed in a car accident, Vesti.az reported. The accident occurred at a military unit of the Azerbaijani Army on October 16. Javid Ahmedli, 18, drafted for the military service in 2011 April from Gajigabul region, drove a lorry carelessly. The lorry ran off the road and plunged into a canyon. Ahmedli died from injuries. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry confirmed the report.
In 2011 the Azerbaijani public structures confirmed 76 deaths among servicemen of the Ministry of Defense, Border Service and Internal Troops of Azerbaijan. At least 18 of them were killed by their co-servicemen, 13 were killed in accidents, 12 committed suicide, 10 died of diseases, 2 died of carbon monoxide poisoning, etc. Experts say that real losses in the Azerbaijani army are much higher than the death cases confirmed by Azerbaijan officially.
