Armenian weightlifting champ Nazik Avdalyan may return after 2 years
Armenian weightlifting champion Nazik Avdalyan wants to return to big sport, but her doctors can say if it is possible only 6 months later, said the champ on Monday in a news conference. Even if the doctors allow her, Nazik Avdalyan can return only after 2 years.
Nazik Avdalyan says she’s intended to develop the weightlifting in Armenia, founding a school for women in Vanadzor. She says many girls want to go in for weightlifting, but their moms forbid because of some stereotypes.
Armenian champ says she is now engaged, and is going to marry in winter. She’s sure her hubby won’t ban her future sport intentions.
