Iran’s security forces arrest three Turkish professors
Professors of Istanbul University Seda Qaraqaya, Rabia Qaraqaya Pulat and professor of “Quch” University Avqan Yilan Qaya have been arrested by Iran’s security forces charged for espionage for the USA, reported “radiofarda.com” referring to Turkish “Sabah” daily.
According to the source, the Turkish professors arrived in Tehran on May 28 to attend a seminar titled “Iran, Turkey and Arab spring”. The professors were arrested for 13 days and released on June 12 after the Iranian and Turkish Foreign Ministers have had a phone conversation.
The professors refused to make remarks on their arrest after traveling back home.
