D. Jamalyan: Aliyev’s clan deeply concerned with Armenia’s military potential
“Azerbaijan’s propaganda held in the last few months can be described as discrediting anything which gives advantages to Armenia and which cannot be adequately responded in Baku. Aliyev’s administration exercises this tactics in the context of Armenian-Russian alliance. Describing Armenia as “Russia’s outpost” has become a pivotal attribute for the experts in Baku. Probably this tactics is greatly signified in Azerbaijan, as Ilahm Aliyev has also used this propaganda cliché,” said military expert Davit Jamalyan to Panorama.am referring to Azerbaijan’s statements on military parade held in Armenia.
Azerbaijan’s president has made remarks Monday on the military parade held in Armenia. Referring to the participation of Russian military group in the parade, Aliyev has said that Armenia has confirmed its role of outpost for Russia. Azerbaijan’s president has also condemned the military equipment displayed in the parade.
“This campaign is addressed to their domestic audience, and to “confirm” that compared with Armenia, Azerbaijan is an independent state, and to create an impression that Armenian-Russian military alliance cannot become an obstacle for “the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity”.
Azerbaijan understands the advantages that Armenian-Russian alliance has – installation of alliance’s armed forces along the border line, improvement of Armenia’s military industry, delivery of modern armaments at affordable prices.
To conclude, if Baku looks for arguments to discredit our military parade, then it becomes obvious that Aliyev’s clan is deeply concerned with the military potential of our country, said the expert.
