Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran intended to pay visit to Armenia
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is intended to arrive in Armenia during the next two months, Iranian “MEHR” news agency quotes Mohammad Reza Faregani, the head of Iranian President’s international affairs department, as saying.
The Iranian official has stated that during the Yerevan trip a range of regional issues will be discuss, and some economic treaties will be signed.
“Armenia’s and Iran’s Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have had a meeting during Armenian President’s visit to Iran during Nouruz,” the statement reads.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran was supposed to arrive in Armenia on June 6, but more time was needed to prepare the documents, thus the visit was postponed.
