Azerbaijani Defense Minister tries to influence results of Ministry of Finance monitoring in military units
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev ordered the Ministry of Finance officials to establish an audit group to monitor the situation in Defense Ministry’s military units. In the second stage, where the Ministry of Finance officials carry out the monitoring together with high ranking military officials, they have revealed many facts of corruption and illegal actions.
Pia.az reports that Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev has ordered his generals to “influence the results of Ministry of Finance work.” A report for President Ilham Aliyev will be prepared based on these results, the source said.
