“In Nakhichevan, I saw no placard depicting Heydar Aliyev. Instead, Ilham Aliyev’s portraits were hung everywhere. On the way from Nakhichevan to Turkey we saw Ilham Aliyev Sports Complex.

Heydarism was replaced by Ilhamism in Nakhichevan. Nakhichevan is said to be a laboratory of authoritarianism.
