‘Wounds of Karabakh’: Paskalaeva’s film released
Bulgarian film maker Zvetana Paskaleva presented her film series “Wounds of Karabakh” to the journalists Wednesday. Ms Paskaleva said in a couple of days the film will be available for the wider audience.
Seven films (Heights of Hope, Will Dawn Return to Karabakh, My Dears. Living and Dead, Karabakh’s Wounds, Soldiers of the Land, Cease-fire, Spirit and faith) in six languages – English, Russian, Bulgarian, French, etc tell the story of Karabakh. Zvetana remembered once she didn’t knew about Karabakh but within a short period of time she read its history.
The Bulgarian director remembered Vardan Hovhannisyan, who was missing. It was obvious he was in prison in Gyanja. Zvetana made some interviews and managed to free Vardan. She said she felt a powerful victory on that day.
People were asking Zvetana to travel and to tell their story all over the world. “I did it, I didn’t want to disappoint anybody,” said the director.
Zvetana knows that Azerbaijan describes her films as “false”, but adds she could expect it.
“Armenian Music Center” supported the production of the films and Zvetana Paskaleva expressed gratitude for supporting her.
