Taylor Swift takes home American Music Awards’ biggest honor
Taylor Swift took home American Music Awards’ biggest honor, artist of the year on Sunday night. ABC news quotes Taylor as saying: "This is the craziest thing that has ever happened to me! I can't believe this is happening to me!"
Adele was also a three-time winner on Sunday night's telecast, but two of her awards -- favorite adult contemporary artist and favorite pop/rock female artist -- weren't given out on camera. On camera, she won for favorite pop/rock album for her multi-million-selling smash "21", but sadly wasn't able to be there to accept it, since she's recovering from vocal cord surgery.
Other winners included Maroon 5 as favorite pop-rock band/duo/group, Blake Shelton as favorite country male artist, Lady Antebellum as favorite country band/duo/group, Beyonce as favorite soul/R&B female artist, Rihanna for favorite soul/R&B album for "Loud" and Hot Chelle Rae as new artist of the year.
