A soldier of the Azerbaijani army died at the line of contact of Azerbaijan-NKR Armed Forces, in Terter direction on Sunday, at around 15:30. APA reports that the soldier, Elmar Samad Habibzade, 19, was killed by Armenian fire.

Deputy spokesperson of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Teymur Abdullayev confirmed the fact to APA.

Habibzade has been drafted from Lankaran Region Military Commissariat in April this year, the source reports.

We will remind that contract serviceman of NKR Defense Army, Mihran Margaryan, 19, was killed by Azerbaijani fire on November 20, at around 08. He died from a gunshot wound to the chest while on military duty at the NKR-Azerbaijan contact line in the southeastern direction (Kuropatkino). On November 19, at around 08:40, Armenian contract serviceman Aren Simonyan, 19, was killed by Azerbaijani sniper fire while on military duty in the southern direction of contact line.

The source reports that in response to these deaths, the Armenian side took punitive measures, as it had announced earlier. According to the NKR Defense Army intelligence data, up to 7 deaths and injuries are reported in the Azerbaijani army on November 20-25 as a result of NKR forces’ punitive measures.

At least 90 servicemen have died in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces this year, more than 92 got injured.
