More than 80 journalists arrive in Yerevan for Junior Eurovision Song Contest
More than 80 journalists have already arrived in Armenia for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 to be held at Yerevan’s Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex on December 2-3, head of contest’s organizing committee’s press service, Artak Vardanyan told a Panorama.am reporter.
43 Armenian media have been accredited to cover the contest.
“Our press center meets all criteria: we have 20 computers, high speed Internet, coffee. The journalists are satisfied with the conditions,” said he.
According to him, the contest participants have already started rehearsing. They say the Armenian stage is “big and powerful.” So far, they have had no technical problem.
The 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Armenia following Armenia’s win in the 2010 contest, where Armenia was represented by young singer Vladimir Arzumanyan. The 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest hosts 13 countries – Armenia, Russia, Latvia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Ukraine, Macedonia, The Netherlands, Belarus, Sweden, Georgia, and Belgium.
Dalita, 11, will represent Armenia with her song “Welcome to Armenia.”
