Voter turnout at Azerbaijani municipal elections 23.46 percent
The voter turnout at repeated elections, by-elections and new municipal elections in Azerbaijan was 23.46 percent (271108 voters), said head of the Secretariat of Azerbaijani CEC, Rovzat Gasymov, according to Trend.
The repeated elections were held on Wednesday. They started at 08:00 and lasted until 19:00.
1549 candidates for 464 vacant seats were registered in 330 municipalities. 709 independent candidates ran for the elections, the rest of the candidates represented 9 political parties, said the source.
