Meryl Streep receives New York Film Critics Awards
Hollywood actress Meryl Streep received a prize at last night's New York Film Critics Circle Awards, foreign media outlets say. Meryl Streep won best actress for her performance as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady.
86-year-old Margaret Thatcher refused to watch the movie. Former Premiere’s friends say she’s angry with Hollywood mocking her life and career.
Brad Pitt and French silent movie The Artist have been also tipped for Oscar glory after scooping prizes at last night's New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
