H. Sahakyan: Final word belongs to Artsakh
“Azerbaijan must finally understand that they cannot talk to Artsakh in a language of weapons, force and power. If Azerbaijan really wants to see the conflict resolved, they must be committed to tête-à-tête negotiations with the authorities of Artsakh,” Republican MP Hovhannes Sahakyan told Panorama.am making remarks on NK conflict and the recent developments round it – OSCE MG co-chairs’ regional visit, strained violations of the ceasefire regime.
According to the MP, sooner or later Artsakh will join the negotiations, as the topic, put on the table, targets them, and “the final word” belongs to them.
“Inhabitants of Artsakh own their land and nobody can oblige them to do anything, and if any state has any problem with Artsakh, solve it directly with NKR,” said the MP.
In the beginning of the week OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs arrived in Armenia, and passing the Armenian-Azerbaijani border travelled to Baku. French co-chair Bernard Fassier, who terminates with his mission in the Minsk Group, expressed hopefulness he would return to the region as a tourist and see Armenians and Azerbaijanis living in Karabakh as brothers.
