Government approves strategy for industrial policy
Armenian Government approved on Thursday a strategy for industrial policy targeting the expansion of import sector, discovery of importing potential and ways for efficient implementation.
Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan said the strategy includes 11 branches – brandy making, diamonds, jewelry, watch making, textile industry, pharmaceutics and biotechnologies, cannery, wine making, etc.
Enlargement programs in brandy making and pharmaceutics have been developed with the private sector. The strategy primarily focuses on private sector-state cooperation.
