President Sargsyan says state backs its sportsmen
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan participated on Thursday in Armenian national football team honoring ceremony, organized by the Armenian Football Federation.
President Sargsyan granted Roman Berezovski, the goal-keeper, with a medal for the services provided to the motherland, Sargis Hovsepyan, the team leader, with Movses Khorenatsi medal, and assured that all the members of the team would be honored with high state awards in the future.
President’s press office reports, Serzh Sargsyan has expressed deepest appreciation on his behalf and on behalf of all Armenians as the team has performed well in 2011.
“I want you to know that each of you is backed by a state ready to support its sportsmen, a state committed to do everything to make sport an issue of inspiration for many of us,” Serzh Sargsyan underlined.
