Ministry of Labor set to develop employment strategy
The State Employment Service Agency of the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Issues implements a range of state employment programs targeting unemployment reduction in Armenia, deputy head of the agency, Artak Simonyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
The employment official placed a high value on cooperation with international organizations - World Bank, USAID, UN Armenia Office, German, Czech organizations - which also boost job creation in the country.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Issues is set to develop employment strategy next year, with fields needing reform mentioned, said the speaker.
“I expect the employment sector to be considered as economic category after the introduction of the employment strategy, and to be linked to economy, educational development, and labor market needs,” said Simonyan.
