Turkish historian: Turkey disgraces itself
Turkish scholar, professor at Clark University in Massachusetts Taner Akcam in his interview to Ermenihaber.am news website commented upon Ankara’s statements on imposing sanctions on France after the French Parliament passed the Armenian Genocide bill.
“All these restrictions are buffoonery. Unfortunately, Turkey disgraces itself. Earlier, in 2001 and 2006 Turkey had recalled its ambassador but sent him back later,” said Akcam.
According to the Turkish scholar, Turkey should give up this ridiculous behavior.
“Turkey seems to be sending a message to the world: “I will commit genocide if necessary, it's not your business,” said the historian.
