Surb Grigor Lusavorich Church of Istanbul reopens after renovation
Surb Grigor Lusavorich Church reopened in Istanbul on Sunday after being renovated by Sisli Municipality, according to Hurriyet.
Mustafa Sarıgül, the Mayor of Sisli district of Istanbul was invited to attend the reopening ceremony of the church. Leader of the spiritual council of the Armenian Patriarchate of Istanbul, Archimandrite Tatul Anushyan conducted a liturgy. Armenian Deputy Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Aram Ateshyan and Mayor of Sisli addressed the ceremony.
“We will continue to make efforts for the sake of humaneness, peace, freedom and democracy,” Mustafa Sarıgül said.
