American spy sentenced to death in Iran
Iran's Revolutionary Court has sentenced American Amir Mirza Hekmati to death for spying for the CIA, FARS news agency said. According to the source American-Iranian Amir was born in US state of Arizona, and has been accused of spying for the Central Intelligence Agency.
Earlier last month Iranian TV stations televised the suspect’s confession evidence.
Hekmati said he was suggested to cooperate when they found out Amir was fluent in Arabic and Persian. As soon as Hekmati arrived in Iran he was assigned to interest Iran’s intelligence ministry providing information about those Iranians who had any contacts with the US. When the Iranian statesmen trusted Hekmati, he should launch his mission working for the US.
