VivaCell-MTS announces number of SMS messages and calls on its network on December 31, 2011 and January 1, 2012
VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, announces that the network handled 4,283,556 SMS messages on December 31, the New Years Eve before midnight, with a further 3,260,562 on January 1, 2012.
At the same time, 18,131,557 calls were handled through VivaCell-MTS network on December 31, 2011 before midnight, and another 19,253,316 on January 1, 2012.
In total 7,544,118 short messages and 37,384,873 calls were handled by VivaCell-MTS network on December 31, 2011 and January 1, 2012.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of calls increased by 0.22 %, company’s press office reported.
