Iranian media refers to death of legendary intelligence agent Gevork Vartanian
Iranian media has also referred to the death of legendary intelligence agent of Armenian descent Gevork Vartanian.
Particularly “tabnak.ir” posted a news story titled “USSR renowned intelligence agent Gevork Vartanian dies aged 87.” The story recalls intelligence agent’s activities implemented in 1943 in Iran, displays the memorable episodes of his biography and names those awards he received.
Gevork Vartanian, a legendary intelligence agent of Armenian descent, famous for thwarting assassination attempts on Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt in Tehran in 1943, died in Moscow on Wednesday at the age of 87.
