2012 Oscars contenders to be highlighted
Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are set to make their nominations for this year’s Oscars. The names of Oscars nominees will be released on Jan 24, and the award giving ceremony will take place on Feb 26, international media outlets reported.
There won’t be an awful lot of head-scratching over possible best-picture contenders: Michel Hazanavicius’s The Artist looks unbeatable. But the acting categories aren’t quite so predictable. Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris”, George Clooney’s “The Descendents” are among best-picture contenders.
