Armenian mountaineering team arrived in Tehran: Demavend waiting for them
Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation deputy chairman Suren Danielyan told Panorama.am correspondent that Armenian mountaineering team has arrived in Tehran. Our team will visit Iran’s Mountain Tourism Federation to get acquainted with Iran’s highest peak – Mount of Demavend (5671 meters).
Armenian team plans to conquer the highest mountain in the country, Mount Demavend.
The Armenian mountaineers are qualified for the international mountaineering championship to be held in Iran on January 25-28 after conquering several mountains in 2011. This year, winter championship in mountaineering will host 200 mountaineers from around 25 countries, Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation said.
