NKR Parliament Deputy Speaker: Similar statements of humanitarian context
“We hail the joint statement adopted in Sochi-hosted tripartite meeting, though we consider similar format meetings incomplete, as the leader of one of the main parties – President of Artsakh Republic doesn’t participate in them,” Artur Tovmasyan, NKR Parliament Deputy Speaker, told Panorama.am.
Artsakh official has stated that those statements are mainly of humanitarian context and cannot materialize a breakthrough in conflict resolution.
“But we also signify the parties deliver statements to resolve the conflict only through peace.
Sochi tripartite meeting has been the 10th meeting intended by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and it has been a farewell meeting also. It should be confessed that D. Medvedev has put great efforts to establish peace and security in the region,” A. Tovmasyan said.
Russian President quits his mandate in March, but as Artsakh official has said NKR is hopeful similar format meetings will continue as Russia has always been a country interested in the situation in South Caucasus.
“Real advancement in NK issue will be materialized when the process engages all the sides and is moved forward in a complete format,” Artsakh Parliament Deputy Speaker said.
