Hovhannes Tumanyan’s house in Tbilisi has buyer
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan convened a consultation to discuss the future of Hovhannes Tumanyan’s house in Tbilisi. The consultation was attended by Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan, Chairman of Writers' Union of Armenia Levon Ananyan, and Hovhannes Tumanyan’s grand-grandchild Irma Safrazbekyan.
Irma Safrazbekyan said that Hovhannes Tumanyan’s house already has a buyer, who after buying the house intends to donate it to the Armenian community of Tbilisi for turning it into a cultural center later.
The Armenian Prime Minister commissioned the Foreign Minister to discuss with the Georgian side the legal issues related to donation of the house to the community after the house is sold, the Ministry of Culture press office reported.
