Nalbandian assesses Sochi meeting as important, efficient
Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian has assessed the tripartite meeting of Armenia’s, Russia’s and Azerbaijan’s Presidents in Sochi as very important and efficient.
“It has been expressed by the joint statement made by the presidents.”
Though Baku used to say co-chairs’ activities were in vain, they have carried out an efficient work. “Both, Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan have highly assessed the mission and expressed hope that the co-chairing states – USA, Russia and France will continue their efforts to establish peace,” E. Nalbandian said.
Armenian FM underlined that Baku isn’t committed to hold negotiations for the agreement of basic principles, while in the joint statement the presidents have signified intensified work in this respect.
“This is an important point, as it’s being highlighted and Azerbaijan agrees that negotiations should be held over the basic principles,” FM Nalbandian said.
Referring to the atmosphere of mutual trust, Minister Nalbandian has signified it during the negotiations, in the phase of agreeing basic principles and after them.
